We are all ready for spring! But, let’s face it…it still feels like winter in most of the country. Many of us still have snow on the ground and a chill in the air.
One day the birds are starting to chirp and we glimpse a green shoot emerging from the cold ground. Alas, the next day snowflakes tumble from a grey sky.
Deciding what to wear day to day can be challenging during this season in between as we transition from Winter to Spring. Here at FOLK we’ve turned to some fashion forward young adults for some fabulous winter to spring trends we can all incorporate into our wardrobes!
Emerald is hot this season! In home decor and fashion. This fun little emerald dress paired with a leather jacket would be perfect for Easter or a spring brunch, when there’s still a nip in the air.
Black and White is in and the basic black leather jacket is all the rage. Throw it over anything for a fun and hip look. Can we say Madonna…fingerless gloves have hit the seen. again. Both guy and gals are wearing them with just about everything.
The boots take center stage during winter…but transition well into a spring wardrobe as well. Granny would be so proud with the resurgence of laced up granny boots but might be confused over the ripped and worn jeans! A good down vest will always be a staple whether worn over a long sleeve flannel shirt or topping a t’shirt. Lace and leather are the perfect combination.
Whether paired with draped scarves and denim or over a fun spring lace dress and tights, a good leather jacket will not only keep you warm but will bring a bit of edginess to a spring look!
Let’s not forget the guys!
Scarves are where it’s at for the guys as well! And white’s the new “blue” when it comes to denim. Skinny jeans are still fashion forward and skinny ties are making a come back.
It seems to be all in the details when it comes to this season’s trends.
While we may be longing for summer and our 4th of July picnics, let’s not wish away this season too soon! Take a moment to cherish the beginnings of new life as it springs up all around us from the last grasp of winter!
