Long gone are the pink grosgrain ribbons and bows that once adorned their blonde curls.
Years have passed and the blonde curls have turned a wavy light brown.
Little girls growing too quickly but who still clutch favorite furry stuffed seahorses and bears as they drift off to sleep.
No longer do they march excitedly into school with a big box of glittery Valentines waiting to be passed out to friends.
But they’ll always be my Valentines and my blonde headed girls wearing pink.
We’ll laugh hysterically as they fill out their Valentines.
