One of the simplest ways to add festive touches to your holiday decorating is by opening the pantry door.
From marshmallows in mason jars on my white kitchen tree to a cloche piled high with the sugary confections to a marshmallow wreath, it’s definitely a marshmallow world in the winter this year at my house.
The key is choosing just one color.
A milk glass bowl overflowing with lemons on the center of a table,
a row of pears marching across a windowsill,
or tiny mandarin oranges tucked into greenery on a bookshelf are inexpensive ways to create a festive touch.
Crisp white is the perfect backdrop for ruby red pomegranates from Lucy of Craftberry Bush.
A simple bowl of pomegranates sitting on the counter is all you need and you can see more in Jennifer Rizzo‘s holiday house tour.
Sort all the fixings for the perfect hot cocoa into glass apothecary jars and keep it out all winter long like Jennifer of Dear Lillie did.
Start a family tradition and make your own clove studded pomander centerpiece.
How do you use your pantry as inspiration for your holiday decorating?

I love the idea of using what you already have and I’m really enjoying seeing everyones interpretation of it. There are so many amazing ideas. I like to add greens and berries from the yard to everything and call it a day! I makes the house smell so good.

I LOVE how you used marshmallows! I’d definitely be tempted to eat the decor though.
So, so cute! That measuring tape star is great. Love the Dear Lilly buffet, too! I pinned it yesterday from her housewalk!
Yes, yes and yes! I adore using nature in decor! Nature always does it right and chooses the right colour tones.
Just watch those apple ornaments with a hungry 13 year old son wandering the grounds… imagine my surprise when a display morphed into a heap of apple cores!
These displays are absolutely gorgeous!
I’m with you. I made some great potpourri from pantry and herb garden items, and am using a lot of our red items for decorations.
