What do you get the person who has everything? A really cool piece of American art! That’s what! Tonight we are featuring Carrier Studio‘s Art Panels. We love Angie’s Art Panels and all of the detail that goes into them. Angie share’s her story below:
“I believe that the true value of hand crafted is the love, magic, and soul imparted into the item by its maker. Growing up in Eastern Tennessee, I watched and learned as my mother and father made many of the items we used during our lives. I felt their love everyday using quilts that were made by my mother, growing up in the our house fabricated by my father, and the food served, which was grown by the family. Although the mountains that surrounded us were beautiful, growing up in a rural area gave way to plenty of idle time, I think this is were the love of creating things started.
Life since then has taken me down several different roads and through a few different cities, but when my family and I moved to Greenville SC four years ago, I fell in love with an area called the Pendleton Street Arts District. Over thirty artist had already opened studios to work and sell their art. After visiting, I purchased and renovated an old mill house and opened Carrier Studio. An area that once housed all of the cotton mill workers and their family now houses all of these wonderful artist who also are hand crafting a life. Here at Carrier Studio I create original works of art which get reproduced onto various products. All of the products are currently create one by one in the studio and are marketed through my website and various galleries and retailers. I feel that making the reproductions myself makes each piece unique and a little bit of that magic gets to travels home with my customers.
I have spent many years of my life feeling like I was striving to obtain a goal, thinking that is where happiness would be waiting. Now I realize that the happiness is in each and every moment that I get to do what I love. I feel very fortunate as I leave my house each day and head to my studio to create to my hearts content!”

I personally love “sprinkles” and the individual letter art panels (which I proudly display in my office!) The “Bright Stars” panel above comes from Angie’s original mixed media painting titled “Bright Stars.” The original was created using collected and vintage papers. You will also find vintage presidential stamps from her late Grandfather’s collection. The entire painting then received washes of acrylic paint.
